Two Stacks
Location Reviewed: Fremantle
Items Reviewed: Hot Chicken Sandwich, Buffalo Chicken Sando
Thoughts: Easily one of the best spicy chicken burger Ive had. Great spice kick and chicken so juicy that it easily surpasses every other burger Ive tried. Wait times can be a bit hefty but its definitely worth the wait!

Hoodburger
Location Reviewed: Inglewood, Northbridge
Items Reviewed: Hot Tender Sandwich, Tender Deluxe, Cheeseburger, Tender Mash Gravy, Golden Curry Tender Sandwich
Thoughts: Consistently some of the best chicken and beef burgers available in Perth. Ive tried most of the chicken burgers available and theyve all been delicious. Current favourite is probably the Golden Curry but you cant go wrong with any of them. Ive also heard the Swiss Mushroom is also incredible if youre the one to enjoy mushrooms.

Christo's
Location Reviewed: Landsdale
Items Reviewed: Christo's Fried Chicken, OG Christo's
Thoughts: A delicious combination of ingredients. I'm a huge fan of lettuce and tomato in my chicken burgers and Christo's does the combination amazingly. The chicken included is sized appropriately and seasoned deliciously. The greatest thing that differentiates Christo's from it's competitor's is it's seasoned bun. I'm not sure what it is, personally i've always called it a curry bun; but it's inclusion elevates the entire burger with a delicious spiced kick.

Big Dog's Burgers
Location Reviewed: Bedford
Items Reviewed: Buttermilk Fried Chicken
Thoughts: As one of the most recent visits on this list, this restaurant shocked me. I wholly did not expect the food to be anywhere near the level it was. Honestly it was so amazing it may be close to becoming my favourite burger. It's another lettuce based burger which automatically gives it extra points in my book. Combined with a slice of American(?) cheese, the chicken breast itself as well as their 'signature' sauce (which I'm sure is just generic buffalo sauce) leads to delightful experience. This is without mentioning the frankly absurd size of the chicken piece, it straight up sticks out the burger and is easily the biggest piece I've been served at any restaurant. It also tastes like a McNugget which is quite nifty if you enjoy the taste.

A+ Tier

Compton Burgers
Location Reviewed: Perth
Items Reviewed: Marilyn Bunroe (Spicy)
Thoughts: An absolute monstrosity of a burger and easily the tallest one I've had the pleasure of consuming. Tackling this one was a real challenge but well worth the effort. I'm a big fan of burgers with lettuce and tomato and this burger is easily the best of them. I didn't remotely sense any spice while consuming which was strange. The chicken breast is covered in an amazingly unique combination of spices though which enhances the taste. Everything comes together incredibly well for a fulfilling burger well worth the price!

Local Bird
Location Reviewed: Tuart Hill
Items Reviewed: Spicy Bird Burger
Thoughts: The chicken burger found here is consistently delicious. Very similar to the burger found at Two Stacks yet it feels as if it's still missing just a bit. Would still highly recommend if you are within the area or don't want to travel down to Freo.

A Tier

Philthy McNasty's Fried Chicken
Location Reviewed: Joondalup
Items Reviewed: Kiss Your Arse Goodbye
Thoughts: A solid all round burger. Vegetables and chicken are fresh and the cheese mixes well with them. Hot sauce also has quite a kick to it although it does taste somewhat like the sauces used at several other restaurants.

The BurgAr Hut
Location Reviewed: Malaga
Items Reviewed: Spicy Chicken
Thoughts: Above and beyond the outlier in the upper echelons of this list. This burger feels the closest to a home made one which is usually considered a downside. However, everything included in this burger is incredibly well done. The vegetables are all fresh, the chicken is tender and juice, while the hot sauce completes everything. This burger also has the honour of feeling the cleanest/healthiest, with the chicken being unbattered which is a rarity when it comes to chicken burgers.

Crispy's Burgers
Location Reviewed: Joondalup
Items Reviewed: The Hot Chook Burger, OG Chicken Burger
Thoughts: All the characteristics of a higher tier burger held back by a single flaw. The chicken is well cooked and decently sized. Included vegetables are also plentiful and fresh. However, both times I've visited they have decided to effectively douse the entire burger in mayonnaise. It's the single thing holding this burger back from being better. There is so much that it becomes basically the only taste noticeable.

Bad Love Burger Co
Location Reviewed: West Leederville
Items Reviewed: Nashville Hot Love
Thoughts: One of the best tasting burgers on the list. I will have to visit again to decide whether to promote it or not. Chicken pieces are quite sizeable and well cooked. Other ingredients such as the cheese and lettuce play well together with the aforementioned chicken. However, the glue that ties everything together is the absolutely delicious sauce they use within. It's such a unique taste compared to almost every other burger on this list and it truly elevates the burger. Personally I found it to taste similar Sizzler's (May it rest in peace :\) pumpkin soup which I adored.

Bump In Burger
Location Reviewed: Woodvale
Items Reviewed: The Firebird
Thoughts: Another all around solid burger. Every ingredient gets an equal footing with a decent portion of vegetables, mayonnaise, cheese and chicken. Chicken is coated in a well tasting sauce which I have a theory is the same one used by multiple other joints such as Philthy's and RoyAl's.

B Tier

Mochachos
Location Reviewed: Mirrabooka, Warwick
Items Reviewed: Chicken Burger (Dynamite)
Thoughts: Despite being a 'fast food' burger, Mochachos is easily one of my favourite locations to visit. The ingredients within aren't anything special, namely lettuce, mayo and tomato; but it all comes together amazingly with a 'dynamite' based chicken breast.

Varsity
Location Reviewed: Joondalup, Waterford, Northbridge, Innaloo
Items Reviewed: Soul Burger, Buffalo Chicken, The Durty Bird
Thoughts: The burgers here are easily in the upper echelons in terms of pricing. However, said burgers are consistently tasty and of a high quality. Definitely the leader in terms of grease though. In a similar vein to KFC you very much pay a price for the experience.

RoyAl's Chicken and Burgers
Location Reviewed: Wembley, East Victoria Park, Northbridge
Items Reviewed: Durty South
Thoughts: Honestly when I think of RoyAl's I consider them to basically be a fraternal twin of Varsity. They both have very similar tastes overall but with RoyAl's having a slightly higher amount of vegetables which make it feel slightly cleaner and less heavy than a burger from Varsity. Similar spice flavour to the previously mentioned Philthy's and and Bump In's sauces.

Grill'd
Location Reviewed: Hillarys, Kingsway
Items Reviewed: Simon Says, HFC Classic
Thoughts: The "Simon Say's" burger has been pretty consistently a decent burger for the past few years. It's not a super flavourful burger but the flavours found are still quite cohesive and tasty. It also feels like quite a "healthy" burger, especially when compared to others on this list. Grill'd Healthy Fried Chicken (HFC) was a colossal disappointment however. The chicken patty felt incredibly cheap, akin to one purchased from a supermarket freezer. Would definitely recommend the former if you were forced to choose between the two.

Nandos
Location Reviewed: Tuart Hill, Wanneroo, Kingsway
Items Reviewed: Classic Chicken Burger (Extra Hot)
Thoughts: It's Nandos. I assume the vast majority of people have visited at least once in their lifetime. Very much not a complicated burger by any means and one that is very much carried by the delicious basting they use. Highly recommend their peri-peri chips on the side!

Meet & Bun
Location Reviewed: Mount Lawley
Items Reviewed: Danny's Southern Fried Chicken
Thoughts: Pretty much the definition of decent. Nothing is going to blow you away but it's still a tasty experience. Ingredients are all of a good quality, especially the potato buns. Chicken is a bit rough and honestly tastes a bit like deep fried fish but personally I didn't think it subtracted from the overall burger.

JM Burger
Location Reviewed: Shelley
Items Reviewed: Hot Chicken, Chicken Burger
Thoughts: Once again another decent joint. The burgers have a distinct Asia-orientated taste to them which I enjoyed as a change to the norm. Ingredients are fresh, the chicken is passable and the spice rating was around mild. Only real complaint is the mayo or cheese sauce which acted like genuine glue when I got some on my hands! A burger here is a unique experience for sure but not one that'll alter your world view.

C Tier

The Chargrill Masters
Location Reviewed: Dianella
Items Reviewed: Spicy Chicken Burger
Thoughts: This is certainly one of the more unique burgers on this list, with the included chicken being shredded instead of in a patty form. Like other burgers in this tier there's nothing to really write home about. It tastes almost exactly what you would expect form the combination of the ingredients. The chicken also does start falling everywhere but that's to be expected.

Smash Grill
Location Reviewed: Fremantle
Items Reviewed: Spicy Chicken, Smashburger
Thoughts: This place gets raving reviews and personally i'm not sure why. The chicken is quite juicy and the burgers look incredible. But taste wise there is absolutely nothing special and the burgers are tiny for the price paid. This is one location I do wish to return to and try again though.

Pattysmiths
Location Reviewed: Gwelup
Items Reviewed: Spicy Chicken Burger
Thoughts: Nothing special but also not bad by any means. It's a decent feed with the ingredients coming together well enough. Wasn't spicy by any measure which was a bit disappointing but the aftertaste was surprisingly pleasant.

Flame 400 Burger Cafe
Location Reviewed: Mirrabooka
Items Reviewed: Buffalo Chicken Burger, Spicy Chicken Burger
Thoughts: I'd say this joint is the closest to B tier. The burgers here can be described as 'decent'. There's nothing super exciting about any of them but they are able to fulfill their purpose well. The sensation that too much oil remains on the food is the only real downside.

Simon Says
Location Reviewed: Morley
Items Reviewed: Becca Burger, Cheese Burger
Thoughts: Another burger that feels like an outlier with it's flavour. The Becca burger here has a unique sweet taste I assume from the mixture of bacon and honey. The chicken breast is also a decent size and everything comes together well. The uniqueness of the flavour is really the only standout thing when compared to others on this list and it's not enough to rate it higher.

Bulkan Burger Cafe
Location Reviewed: Greenwood
Items Reviewed: Bulkan Chook
Thoughts: Nothing super remarkable by any means. This burger has little cohesion and each ingredient is easily separable from the others. Probably the closest burger on the list to tasting like a generic quickly made homemade one. The burger comes nowhere close to meeting the requirements for this price range ($25). I did enjoy the sour cream (?) used as a sauce and it's usage did give it at least one characteristic different from other joints.

Thuggs
Location Reviewed: Karrinyup
Items Reviewed: Spicy B2B Chicken, B2B Chicken
Thoughts: I feel as though Thuggs is the quintessential example of a C tier placing. Burgers here aren't amazing by any means but they also aren't downright bad like Drasko's. The burger overall just feels pretty uninspired and isn't something i'm rushing back to try again.

D Tier

Drasko's
Location Reviewed: Mount Hawthorn
Items Reviewed: Signiture Sando (Hot)
Thoughts: Probably one of the only restaurants I do not particular wish to visit again. The batter on the breast started falling apart almost immediately as I bit into it, with subsequent bites speeding up the process further. Not to mention that the entire basing was one of the saltiest I've ever had the displeasure of experiencing. They do at least follow their promise of being spicy though.
